The double CD Gammeldans & Knågstykker presents traditional dance music from Western Jutland, played by three old musicians Hans Nielsen (1906-95), fiddle, Karl Nielsen (1911-83), piano, and Ejnar Nielsen (1911- 83), drums and trombone. Together they were known as "The Tinus Brothers". Their mixture of traditional tunes and standard popular dance music made them very popular up to the mid-60's.
By the 1970's and 80's they were experiencing a revival, due to the overall revival of traditional popular music.The CD "Gammeldans" was recorded in 1978-79 at various different occasions. The CD "Knågstykker" was recorded in 1965 and 1969.
